Outriders inventory wipe bug fixed by latest patch

By Sean Carey,
Developer People Can Fly has released a new patch for Outriders that should fix the nasty inventory wipe bug players have been running into.

Outriders first patch release date

As detailed over on Reddit, People Can Fly says the patch is available to download on Xbox consoles now and that it's confident the patch will prevent inventory wipes in the future. However, the developer will be monitoring the situation over the weekend to ensure the bug has been squashed once and for all. After the weekend, People Can Fly will move onto the restoration process for players who have had their inventories wiped. "As soon as we are satisfied [with] the patch’s effectiveness, we will share extra details including timelines of our upcoming Inventory Restoration process," People Can Fly says.

However, the developer notes that after installing the patch, some players may occasionally encounter multiplayer connectivity issues, followed by "inventory items being momentarily invisible." This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future patch. If you do come across this problem, People Can Fly suggests restarting the game, which should make your missing items reappear.

Those who have lost their inventories or encountered connectivity issues at launch will be compensated with a bunch of free gear via an Outriders Community Appreciation Package. People Can Fly will be sharing more information on this soon.
