12 Minutes dev shows off one full loop of murder-mystery gameplay By Tom West, 11 May 2021 FollowtopicsTwelve MinutesAnnapurna InteractiveID@XboxXbox Game PassXbox Series X|SAdventureTom West 12 Minutes director Luis Antonio has given a preview of the game in a six-minute gameplay walkthrough, revealing some of the player choices available to you in this looping, branching murder-mystery.The new six-minute video of 12 Minutes isn’t a walkthrough for the first half of the game, rather a quick rundown of some of the actions you can perform while playing. Game director Luis Antonio gave IGN a gameplay walkthrough with developer commentary, that details the first few minutes of 12 Minutes. Upon starting the game you’ll have control over a husband (James McAvoy) who’s about to enjoy an evening with his wife (Daisy Ridley) when a police officer (Willem Dafoe) shows up at the door accusing the wife of murdering her father some years prior. The game will play out in a time loop (up to 12 minutes) in which your character remembers all the loops that came before, and needs to stop the officer from killing them. The game looks to be completely player-controlled with options for dialogue and actions, changing the events that happen during that loop — hopefully, you'll be able to figure out how to make it out of the seemingly endless cycle. 12 Minutes is due to release later this year. Will you be attempting to figure out the mystery?
