Xbox Games with Gold for June 2021 revealed

June's Games with Gold lineup has been revealed. Next month, Gold members can download The King's Bird and Shadows: Awakening for Xbox One, and the backwards-compatible Xbox 360 titles, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The King’s Bird (June 1st to June 30th)

The King's Bird is a platformer that regularly appears in our quick/easy completions articles, thanks to the game's including an assist mode, which makes a bunch of its achievements easier to unlock. Estimates suggest it will take you between six and eight hours to unlock the game's 13 achievements, so if you're after some easy Gamerscore, this Games with Gold title has got you covered. The King's Bird utilises physics-based movement and has you journeying into a world that's been kept a secret by a tyrant. You have to discover the truth about your supposed freedom. The King's Bird will be available to download from June 1st to June 30th.

Shadows: Awakening (June 16th to July 15th)

The next Xbox One game on offer is Shadows: Awakening, which you can download from June 16th to July 15th. The action-RPG puts you in control of a freshly-summoned demon from the Shadow Realm, who is tasked with consuming the souls of dead heroes. Sadly, unless a fix has been implemented recently, Shadows: Awakening's achievement list can not be completed with a digital version of the game. LV 1 Blue Slime notes in their Shadows: Awakening walkthrough that the Got Gud and Oldschool achievements can only be unlocked in an unpatched version of the game, which means you'll need a physical copy as patches are included with the download of a digital version.

NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (June 1st to June 15th)

The first Xbox 360 game on offer is NeoGeo Battle Coliseum. The tag-team fighting game features a bunch of "original heroes and unique characters that transcend time." The backwards compatible 360 title has 12 achievements worth 200 Gamerscore and can be claimed from June 1st to June 15th.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (June 16th to June 30th)

Finally, we have Injustice: Gods Among Us, another backwards compatible Xbox 360 game. The fighting game features numerous iconic characters from the DC universe, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and more. Be prepared to invest some serious time into completing the Injustice: Gods Among Us achievement list as estimates suggest it will take between 80 and 100 hours to pop all its achievements. We do have a full achievement walkthrough that suggests a longer completion time of 100 to 200 hours.

Don't forget to claim both Armello and Tropico 4 from May's Games with Gold offerings.
