How dare Replaced look this good?

By Luke Albigés,
The Xbox & Bethesda showcase gave us our first look at Replaced, and what a look it was. The retro sci-fi 2D adventure has a truly incredible art style, and we can't wait to see more. So in the meantime, we're just going to watch this again. And again. Join us!

There's just so much depth and life to the world on display here, with gorgeous animations and camera shots making for a captivating experience. Replaced will see you play as Reach, an AI somehow trapped in a human body. 2.5D presentation allows for stunning panning shots and gorgous real time lighting, and we see Reach fighting, climbing, and exploring Phoenix City in all its dilapidated glory.

We only got a typically vague '2022' release window, but the good news is that Replaced will be launching straight into Xbox Game Pass when it does eventually arrive, just like 90% of the games shown at the event. We can't wait, but we have to. Boo.

Replaced is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 in 2022, as a day one Xbox Game Pass addition. Are you as pumped as us for this stunning surprise? Let us know!
