Overwatch cross-play is now live

By Heidi Nicholas,
Cross-play is now live for Overwatch: Origins Edition. Ashe's Deadlock Challenge is also currently underway, running until July 5th and offering rewards such as the Legendary Ashe and B.O.B. skin.

The arrival of cross-play was a bit of a surprise, as the last we'd heard was just that it would be here "soon," but the feature is now live across consoles and PC. Ashe's Deadlock Challenge, meanwhile, has just kicked off, offering new cosmetics for playing games, with wins counting as two games played. Playing nine games earns you a player icon, while 18 gets you a spray, and 27 gets you the Legendary Ashe and B.O.B. skin. You can also grab some more cosmetics by watching Overwatch on Twitch: a spray for watching two hours, two sprays for watching four, and three sprays for watching six.

Ashe's Deadlock Challenge ends on July 5th. What do you think of the challenge and of cross-play? Let us know in the comments!
