Playground Games has revealed that no new cars or content will be coming to Forza Horizon 4 ahead of Forza Horizon 5's launch in November.

Forza Horizon 4 content updates

During the latest episode of Forza Monthly (thanks, VGC), senior producer Tom Butcher announced that Playground Games is shifting more of its resources over to Forza Horizon 5 and that Forza Horizon 4's Series 37 update (available today, June 29th), will be the last update to the game, at least for a while, that includes new content.

"With Forza Horizon 5’s release being our priority over the next few months, we've made some changes to Forza Horizon 4's monthly series update," said Butcher. "So starting with Series update 38, players who know the game well will start to see the return of content from Series 7 to 32. Think of it a bit like a mixtape, featuring the return of some of your favourite content combined with recently added new features."

Butcher continued saying that Playground isn't planning to add any "all-new cars and features over these next months" and that players should have "a lot of fun revisiting these moments and seeing how you handle them the second time around."

In a post on the Forza Motorsport website, Playground says the team will continue to provide support for Forza Horizon 4, fixing bugs when they crop up. When asked if the game would receive any updates after the launch of Forza Horizon 5, Butcher said, "We do plan to make sure Forza Horizon 4 continues to be a fun experience, but we aren’t ready to share exact plans quite yet." While Butcher hasn't specifically ruled out new content making its way to Forza Horizon 4 sometime in the future, for now, it's clear that the team's priority is Forza Horizon 5.

Playground Games recently detailed Forza Horizon 5's weather systems, revealing you can chase down huge dust and tropical storms.

Forza Horizon 5 launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 on November 9th.
