Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development, Ubisoft confirms

By Sean Carey,
During Ubisoft's Q1 earnings call, the publisher confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still happening, but it's currently still "too early" to discuss the game.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

As reported by PC Gamer, during the call, an investor asked Ubisoft CFO Fredrick Duguet if Beyond Good and Evil 2, which was announced more than four years ago now, would launch during Ubisoft's 2024 fiscal year, meaning sometime after May 1st, 2023. Duguet replied saying, "We've progressed well with Beyond Good & Evil 2, but it's too early to tell you at this stage."

This is the only update we've had on the game since October last year when Beyond Good and Evil 2 director Michel Ancel announced his departure from the project and the industry as a whole. Senior producer Guillaume Brunier commented at the time that the sequel was "well underway" and that the development team was "concentrating on core development and production milestones."

Brunier also said that we could expect to see more on the game sometime this year. Fingers crossed Ubisoft has something in the works for us later in the year.
