Sega drops new Sonic Colours: Ultimate trailer shedding light on the Wisps By Tom West, 09 Aug 2021 FollowtopicsSonic Colors: UltimateSonicSEGALocal MultiplayerLocal Co-opPlatformerTom West Sega has released a new trailer for everyone’s favourite blue hedgehog in Sonic Colours: Ultimate, this time focusing on the colourful Wisps that we will find on our journey and how they can help us beat the evil Dr. Eggman.Due to release on September 7th, Sonic Colours: Ultimate is a HD remake of 2010’s Sonic Colour. While we speed our way around Dr. Eggman’s Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park, we’ll meet many of the planet's colourful Wisp inhabitants and in true video game fashion, each coloured Wisp will give Sonic a different buff. The new trailer spotlights each of these colourful little friends, and we’ve listed them in order below for your perusing pleasure:White - Gives you a speed boost, fills your boost meter, and allows you to blast through all enemies and obstacles in your path.Cyan - Turns Sonic into a laser beam! Allowing you to blast through the stage at hyper speed and of course, zapping anything that gets in your way.Jade - Turns Sonic into a Jade Ghost which allows him to find hidden areas by moving through solid surfaces.Pink - Who needs a blue hedgehog when you can be a pink spike? Yep, that’s what happens here, just slide along ceilings and walls, and destroy enemies in your path.Green - Allows Sonic to transform into a green hovering form to float up to high areas and safely traverse dangerous obstacles.Orange - Turn into an orange rocket and fire yourself into the air to reach the highest of high places.Blue - Sonic turns into a blue cube to stomp enemy heads and switches blue rings and blue blocks to open new paths.Yellow - Opposite to the other forms, the yellow wisp turns Sonic into a drill so he can dig underground or blast through water like a torpedo.Purple - Sonic gets real hungry when interacting with this Wisp, allowing him to eat everything and anything in his way.Sonic Colours: Ultimate launches on September 7th, so those of you eager to experience some more Sonic don’t need to wait too much longer.
