But when we publish an article like this, detailing the company’s huge year-on-year revenue increases, we’re reminded that this game is actually quite the powerhouse. The news comes via GI.biz and says that in the three months leading up to June 30, 2021, Roblox saw a 42% increase in active users outside the U.S and Canada and a 46% rise in users over the age of 13. Hours played reached 9.7 billion, a 13% increase that looks to have been bolstered by the new users outside of the U.S and Canada — who increased their hours played by 27% and over 13’s by 29%. In fact, Roblox saw a 43.2 million increase in daily active users which is 29% more than was recorded in Q2 2020 when the majority of the world had implemented lockdown procedures.Chief financial officer Michael Guthrie said that these figures are Roblox’s “highest levels of users and engagements to date.”These player figures saw Roblox Corporation’s revenue increase by 127% over the quarter, to $454.1 million. The company has seen its net loss widen by 95%, though, when compared to the same quarter last year — from $71.5 million to $140.1 million.Do you partake in a little Roblox on the side of achievement hunting?
