Dying Light 2: Stay Human delayed to February 2022

By Heidi Nicholas,
Dying Light 2: Stay Human has now been pushed back to February 4th, 2022, as confirmed by the latest developer update. The team will still share some "exciting news" about the game later in September.

The last we heard was that Dying Light 2: Stay Human was planned to launch on December 7th, 2021. Now, the game has been pushed back to February of the following year. "The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line," the devs explain. "The game is complete and we are currently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and most ambitious project we've ever done. Unfortunately, we've realised that for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimise it."

We won't have to go too long without Dying Light 2 news, as we'll apparently hear some "exciting news" later this month. In October, there will also be preview events in which press and content creators will get to try out the game and "share their experiences of The City."

We'll be sure to bring you any more major updates — in the meantime, what do you think of the delay? Let us know in the comments!
