Xbox Game Pass loses Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Night In The Woods, Ikenfell, and more soon

By Sean Carey,
The next batch of games dropping out of Xbox Game Pass has now been revealed. Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Drake Hollow, Ikenfell, Night In The Woods, and Kathy Rain (which doesn't support Xbox achievements) will all leave Xbox Game Pass on September 30th.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2

Warhammer: Vermintide 2's base achievement list takes between 80 and 100 hours to complete (according to estimates), so if you want the completion before it drops out of Xbox Game Pass and you haven't started the hack-and-slash game, I suggest you get cracking. Only 100 TA users out of 57,000 with the game on their tag have managed to unlock all of its achievements, so you're probably going to be in for a bit of a challenge with this one.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. Fight together with your friends against the forces of Chaos and Skaven in this epic 4-player co-op game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world. Vermintide 2 expands the intense first-person combat with a brand new enemy faction, 15 new career paths, talent trees, new weapons, an improved loot system, and more.

Something that's a little more manageable when compared to Vermintide 2 is Night In The Woods, which has 31 achievements that can be unlocked in under 20 hours. There are numerous missable achievements in the adventure game, so we highly recommend following Samurai Ralan's superb Night in The Woods walkthrough.

Night in the Woods

Night in the Woods

Night In The Woods is an adventure game about a college dropout, her friends, the small town they live in, and the strange things happening there. Break stuff, play bass, hang out, walk on powerlines, jump between roofs, and discover strange and amazing and terrible things you never asked for. Come home and waste your life away in Possum Springs.

Ikenfell

Ikenfell

Also leaving Xbox Game Pass is turn-based RPG Ikenfell. Completion estimates suggest that it will take you between 15 and 20 hours to unlock all of the game's achievements, but the Ikenfell walkthrough, written by LV 1 Blue Slime, gives a shorter estimate of 12 to 15 hours — if you decide to try and complete this one, definitely check out that walkthrough. For more on Ikenfell, check out Heidi's Game Pass First Impressions on the RPG.

Ikenfell

Ikenfell

A turn based-tactical RPG about a group of troublesome magic students. Use timing mechanics to power your spells and block attacks, explore the twisted halls of a vast magic school, fight challenging monsters and bosses, find tons of hidden treasure, and uncover dark secrets never meant to be found.

Drake Hollow

Drake Hollow

Finally, Drake Hollow is also set to leave Xbox Game Pass on the 30th. The survival/management game has 50 achievements that will take you between 20 and 25 hours to complete. The toughest achievement on its list looks to be Lore Doctor, which requires you to find 40 notes scattered across the game's various seasons. The problem here is that each world in Drake Hollow is randomly generated, so finding all 40 notes is different for each player and a bit of a pain.

Drake Hollow

Drake Hollow

Team up with friends to build and defend villages of vegetable folk from deadly feral beasts in the blighted world of The Hollow.

Kathy Rain leaves Xbox Game Pass for PC on September 30th but does not support Xbox achievements.

Microsoft also announced that Aragami 2, Subnautica: Below Zero, Sable and ten more games are joining Xbox Game Pass in the second half of September.

Are you sad to see these games go? Which of these will you be playing before they leave Game Pass? Let us know in the comments!
