Respawn teases more Titanfall after employee's comments

By Tom West,
Respawn community coordinator, Jason Garza, recently shut down fans hopes of seeing a new Titanfall game any time soon. However, Respawn's official Twitter account has teased that the series isn't dead yet.

During Garza’s recent livestream on September 20th, he was asked if he had “any comments on Titanfall?” by a member of the community. Garza replied, saying, “Don’t get your hopes up, man. There’s nothing. There’s nothing there. We’ve got too many other games in the works right now.”

Naturally, seeing as Garza is Respawn's community director, his words were taken as gospel and many assumed that Respawn was done with Titanfall. However, the Respawn Twitter account teased the opposite shortly after.

The chances of Respawn leaving Titanfall in the dust are pretty slim, especially after Titanfall 2’s fantastic reception. The team are still continuing their work to prevent the hacking and DDoS attacks, which is clarified when a user in the comments section of Garza's livestreams asks: “time to give up on Titanfall being fixed.” Garza responds, “Lol. Not what I meant. I was just talking the future of TF. We are still working on the current situation, but as always, can’t really telegraph those moves publicly.”

What do you think? Is Respawn working on Titanfall 3 or has it been provisionally put to bed? Let us know in the comments!
