Kung Fu High Impact Announced [UPDATED]

Virtual Air Guitar Company are handling the developing duties on the latest Kinect title to be announced, Kung Fu High Impact. A Kinect title unlike any released previously, this side-scrolling brawler inserts a real image of the player onto the screen (or in the case of the screenshots below, a Jack Black look-alike) and uses accurate motion sensing to track real-life combat movements.

The story takes its inspiration from classic kung-fu films. The player has to fight enemies and interact with objects on screen in order to progress; all while your likeness stares back at you from the screen. Players will get to test their fighting skills and burn calories at the same time!

As well as the story mode, there will be survival challenges, and a multiplayer mode, although details on this are yet to be revealed.

Edit: European publisher Black Bean Games has since released a teaser trailer. North American publishing duties will be handled by UTV Ignition.

Kung Fu High Impact is due to be released in November 2011.
