Resident Evil 4 HD Trailer and Screenshots

Earlier today, we brought you gameplay footage and screenshots of Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X HD. Now it's the turn of the other game to receive a HD remake, Resident Evil 4 HD. Resident Evil 4 is the most recent game of the two, having released on GameCube and Playstation 2 in 2005. It was later ported to the Wii and PC in 2007, before being extremely condensed for mobile platforms.

The game took the Resident Evil franchise in a completely new, action-focused direction. Players now took on the role of Leon S. Kennedy in 2004, after he was recruited by the US Secret Service following his involvement with Racoon City. The President's daughter, Ashley Graham, has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult, and charged with her rescue, Leon travels to a rural village in Europe to try and find her. However, the village is in the grip of a violent cult, and Leon finds himself battling hordes of cultists, mutants and mind-controlled villagers before he can save the girl.

Capcom has already confirmed that the HD remaster will contain all of the bonus content that was available in previous versions of the game. This includes the "Separate Ways" epilogue, which is an alternative scenario for one of the more important NPCs.

As before, here are a handful of screenshots showcasing the updated graphics for those of you who are unable to watch the trailer:
