After yet another extremely successful fundraising event, we are happy to promote the official TrueAchievements Extra Life team, which will aim to raise $15,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the US and Canada. Our Extra Life 2021 Hub is now live, and we've detailed how you can get involved or support this year's fantastic bunch of streamers.

What is Extra Life?

Extra Life gives gamers the opportunity to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organisation that raises funds for sick and injured children throughout the US and Canada. The organisation's donations are distributed to 170 hospitals throughout the two countries and are used for medical research and financially supporting sick and injured children and their families who are staying at one of their hospitals. These hospitals provide 32 million treatments each year to children.

To help support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, each year, gamers from across the world raise money for the charity by taking part in a 24-hour gaming marathon and streaming their efforts. This year, game day is set for November 6th. While a 24-hour gaming marathon does sound pretty intense, don't worry; participants can choose their own start time, how long they want to play for, and what they want to play.

Over $87 million has been raised since Extra Life's inception, including a huge $17.4 million last year. During Extra Life 2019, the TrueAchievements team smashed its goal of $10,000, raising $14,344.45 in the process.

If you're interested in taking part in Extra Life 2021 and want to be a part of the TrueAchievements team, getting involved is simple. Head over to the TrueAchievements team page and hit "Join Our Team." From there, either log in to your existing Extra Life account or set up a new one. You'll also set your personal donation goal here too.

Once you've confirmed your registration, make sure you add a profile picture, customise your personal story, and, most importantly, add either your Twitch or YouTube streaming details, so people can tune in and support you on the day!

Our team captain this year is once again the wonderful omgeezus, who we'd like to thank for getting this all in place and set up. Here is our team captain's donation page.
