CD Projekt Red Announces Witcher 2 Delay

By Michelle Balsan, 7 years ago
Back in June, CD Projekt Red revealed that their well-received PC title, The Witcher 2 would be headed to the Xbox 360.

Today, sadly, CD Projekt Red revealed that the game will not make its initial release target of some time later this year.

The delay was prompted by two issues which the developer are addressing at the moment. First, as revealed previously, the version of The Witcher 2 coming to the 360 is not simply a port, but an adaptation. This means that substantial changes are being made to the title, which increases the development time. The second issue is an on-going legal battle with Namco Bandai concerning distribution of the title in Western Europe, Asia-Pacific, Central America, and South America.

The Witcher 2 is now scheduled for release some time in Q1 2012
