Mortal Kombat 11, Firewatch, The Gunk, and seven more games join Xbox Game Pass [updated]

By Sean Carey,
Update: Microsoft has now officially announced December's new Xbox Game Pass additions. One title that was missing from Xbox On's video was Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, which is also joining the service on December 16th.

Original Story: Another nine games have been announced for Xbox Game Pass in December. As per an official video from Microsoft’s official Xbox On YouTube channel, Mortal Kombat 11, Lake, Firewatch, Broken Age, Ben 10: Power Trip, The Gunk, Race with Ryan, Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, and Transformers: Battlegrounds will all join Xbox Game Pass on December 16th.

December 16th

We’ve got a great mix of games coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. We already knew about Among Us and Aliens: Fireteam Elite as they were announced previously — they aren’t currently playable with the service but should be available soon. Mortal Kombat 11 is a big addition to Xbox Game Pass that will surely appease some of the fighting fans out there. Firewatch brings one of the finest walking simulators available (it’s also a pretty easy completion) to the Game Pass library. We’ve also got open-world adventure game Lake (check out Heidi’s Lake review for more on that) and The Gunk, which joins Game Pass on day one.

We expect we’ll see an official update from Microsoft soon, along with all the games set to leave Xbox Game Pass in the second half of the month.

Will you be playing any of these over the holiday break? Let us know down in the comments!
