The Anacrusis launches into early access in January

By Tom West,
Developer Stray Bombay has announced that its upcoming co-op survival game, The Anacrusis, will be launching into early access with three playable episodes on January 13th.

We’d forgive you if The Anacrusis had slipped by you since its announcement at E3, with the onslaught of announcements we’ve been having. The game is a Left 4 Dead-style co-op shooter from the developer Stray Bombay — formed by ex-Valve and Riot devs. The game gives off some strong 60s vibes, and has you running around a spaceship gunning down hordes of humanoid monster enemies.

During a recent devblog video (thanks, VG247), Stray Bombay’s co-founder, Chet Faliszek, announced that The Anacrusis will be playable on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass on January 13th, albeit in an early access state. Only three of the episodes will be playable to start with, mostly due to the developer wanting to work closely with the community and fans to help shape the game. “We want to be able to actively work on this with the community and not just simply react to bugs or stuff like that," says Faliszek. “We will meaningfully change the game based on the community.”

Will you be heading on some space adventures in January? Let us know if you dig it, in the comments!
