The Elder Scrolls Online’s first event of 2022, the Daedric War Celebration, kicks off next Thursday, January 20th. There will be a heap of rewards on offer, including the first fragments of this year’s morphing collectable.

The Daedric War Celebration event in The Elder Scrolls Online will be live from January 20th through February 1st. There will be reward boxes on offer for adventurers that perform various actions in Morrowind, Summerset, and the Clockwork City. To begin earning the rewards and event tickets you’ll first need to be able to access the locations, either by purchasing the DLC packs separately or by having an active ESO Plus subscription. Once that’s sorted, head to the in-game Crown Store or to the NPC Calonir outside of the Impresario’s tent, to pick up the Guidance for Guides quest.

The event will pay out Daedric War Spoils reward boxes and Glorious Daedric War Spoils reward boxes. Deadric War Spoils will be rewarded for completing the introductory quest, killing monsters, killing Delve and World Bosses, opening lootable containers (treasure chests, safeboxes, etc), collecting harvesting nodes, closing Abyssal Geysers, and defeating the trial bosses in Halls of Fabrication, Asylum Sanctorum, and Cloudrest.

Glorious Daedric War Spoils will contain a more generous selection of loot compared to the basic reward boxes but can only be earned once per day for completing a daily quest in Vvardenfell, Summerset, or the Clockwork City, or by completing a weekly quest in Halls of Fabrication, Asylum Sanctorum, or Cloudrest. Both styles of reward boxes have a chance to contain the following items:

  • Evergloam Champion weapon style pages
  • Gloam Gryphon Fledgling pet runebox
  • Crafting materials
  • Style items for styles found in the Vvardenfell, Clockwork City, and Summerset zones
  • Overland set items
  • Valuables you can sell for gold
  • Treasure maps for Vvardenfell, Clockwork City, and Summerset zones
  • Transmutation Crystals
  • Motif chapters for styles found in the Vvardenfell, Clockwork City, and Summerset zones
  • Snowhawk Mage armor style pages
  • Slag Town Diver Skin runebox
  • Thetys Ramarrys’s Bait Kit runebox
  • Microtized Verminous Fabricant pet fragment
While the event is live, various activities in the three zones will reward additional goodies such as double harvesting node yield, extra loot from Delve, Trial, and World Bosses, and double non-event reward boxes from each zone's daily quests. The Public Dungeon bosses in the three zones will also have a chance to drop a Doctrine Ordinator style page, while the Trial bosses have a guaranteed chance to drop a page.

Of course, any ESO event worth its salt pays out Event Tickets, and the Daedric War Celebration is no different. There are 26 Event Tickets up for grabs (two per day) during the event. One ticket will be earned for turning in your first Vvardenfell or Clockwork City daily quest, and a second will be rewarded for turning in your first Summerset daily quest. This will be our first chance to start collecting the fragments for the new Soulfire Dragon Illusion pet. The following items will be on offer at the Impresario:

  • All three Soulfire Dragon Illusion pet fragments: the Hallowed Hourglass Basin, Illuminated Dragon Scroll, and Kvatchian Incense
  • The first fragment for the Scales of Akatosh skin: the Aureate Anointing Oils
  • Evergloam Champion weapon style pages
  • Gloam Gryphon Fledgling pet
  • Group Repair Kits
The Daedric War Celebration event will be live between January 20th and February 1st. Will you be heading into The Elder Scrolls Online to partake in the first 2022 event? Let us know in the comments below!
