Xbox Game Pass loses Kingdom Hearts 3, Titanfall, and more soon [updated]

By Sean Carey,
Update: Microsoft's official Xbox Wire article now lists the dates these games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass. Hypnospace Outlaw, Killer Queen Black, Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones, and Touhou Luna Nights will all leave Xbox Game Pass on February 28th. Titanfall will leave EA Play and Game Pass Ultimate on March 1st.

Strangely, the Xbox Wire post doesn't mention Kingdom Hearts 3, which is still showing as leaving soon in the Xbox Game Pass mobile app and on console. Kingdom Hearts 3 was previously down to drop out of Game Pass last month on January 15th, though it seems to have stuck around for some unknown reason. We aren't too sure what's going on here — we'll update you as soon as we find out more.

Original Story: Microsoft has now revealed the next batch of games to drop out of Xbox Game Pass. Titanfall, Hypnospace Outlaw, Killer Queen Black, Touhou Luna Nights, and Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clone will all leave Xbox Game Pass soon.

Kingdom Hearts 3

One of the more notable games to drop out of Xbox Game Pass this time around is Kingdom Hearts 3, which according to estimates, will take between 50 and 60 hours to unlock all 51 of the game's base achievement list. We have a superb Kingdom Hearts 3 walkthrough (written by zr122, with contributions from BlackDragon9871) that really does a fantastic job of explaining how to unlock every achievement, so if you haven't started this KH3, make sure you check out this walkthrough before playing to see what you're up against.

KINGDOM HEARTS Ⅲ

KINGDOM HEARTS Ⅲ

For the first time in KINGDOM HEARTS III, Sora will travel across Pixar and other exciting new Disney worlds that lend the story a grander scale than ever before seen in the series. The battle system reaches new heights as well with thrilling action, rideable theme park attractions, and spectacular team-up moves with Disney's beloved characters. KINGDOM HEARTS inspires and entertains unlike anything else out there. Don't miss this brand new installment!

Titanfall

Titanfall

Next to leave Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play is Titanfall. Late last year, Respawn announced that Titanfall had been delisted from the Microsoft Store and that the shooter would be removed from subscription services on March 1st. Estimates suggest that Titanfall will take you well over 200 hours to complete its base achievement list, so if there are any achievements you need or want, you'd better start working towards them now. Be sure to check out Eurydace's Titanfall walkthrough for more info on how to unlock each achievement. Also, just be aware that Titanfall does have one title update achievement that you can lock yourself out of if you're not careful.

Crafted by one of the co-creators of Call of Duty and other key developers behind the Call of Duty franchise,Titanfall delivers fast-paced, hyperkinetic vertical warfare that gives shooter fans the freedom to fight their way as both elite assault Pilots and fast, heavily armored Titans.

Hypnospace Outlaw

Hypnospace Outlaw Achievements

Compared to the two game's listed above, Hypnospace Outlaw has a much shorter completion estimate of just 6-8 hours. However, there are quite a few achievements here that have some pretty chunky ratios, including a fair few missable achievements.

Greetings Enforcer, and thank you for enlisting in the Hypnospace Patrol Department! As the world falls into its slumber, Hypnospace becomes a bustling global village.

Killer Queen Black

Killer Queen Black Xbox One Xbox Game Pass

Killer Queen Black has a demanding achievement list that will take you around 50 hours to complete. The game has three achievements that require you to play for ten hours each in specific roles, and achieving Obsidian rank looks to be quite a tall order — if you're going for a completion with Killer Queen Black, be prepared for a lot of grinding.

KILLER QUEEN BLACK

An epic, platform strategy game for up to eight players online or locally. Play Killer Queen Black casually in quickplay matches, up the intensity in ranked matches, or invite friends to a private room. Easy to play, hard to master, fun for all!

Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones

Stealth Inc 2 3/3/15 Screen 2

Sadly, Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clone has one discontinued achievement, so if you haven't started it and that sort of thing bugs you, don't pick this one up and focus your energy elsewhere. The rest of the list looks pretty tough, especially the Stealth Lord achievement. Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones has a Windows version with its own Windows stack that will also drop out of PC Game Pass soon. However, it has an incredible four unobtainable achievements and seven discontinued achievements.

Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones

Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones

In Stealth Inc 2, you play the role of a clone escaping a sinister and high-tech testing facility. Stealth Inc 2 tests both your brain and your reflexes over 60 varied levels linked together in a sprawling overworld.

Touhou Luna Nights

Touhou Luna Nights Achievements

Finally, we have Touhou Luna Nights. Estimates suggest it will take between eight and ten hours to unlock all 21 of the metroidvania's achievements. On paper, this looks like a fairly tough achievement list to crack. Completing the game with no continues is quite the challenge (though you can quickly quit the game before a continue is registered). The Boss Rush Rank S achievement also looks like it provides quite the challenge.

Touhou Luna Nights

Touhou Luna Nights

Touhou Luna Nights is a Metroidvania title with a heavy emphasis on exploration and action based on the Touhou Project.

As per the Xbox Game Pass app, no date is showing (yet) for when these games will drop out of Xbox Game Pass, though we expect them to leave on or around March 1st. We expect Microsoft will drop an official Xbox Wire post with all the details soon.

Are you sad to see any of these games go? Which of these do you need to finish? Let us know down in the comments.
