In an interesting little story, it seems the officials over at SpaceMarine.com have let a little bit of information slip by accident - that the upcoming Warhammer 40k - Space Marine
is to get a co-op mode introduced thirty days post-launch
The slip occurred when an official staff member made a forum post, detailing various aspects of the patch. The post indicated that around thirty days after the initial release of the game, a free patch (to those who bought the game brand new) would introduce the co-op mode. The staff member also said that the patch should have made the games initial release, but they needed more time to polish it up.
The post also indicates that if you didn't buy the game brand new then the co-op patch will come as paid DLC, similar to EA's 'Project $10'
Unfortunately, the post was deleted quite quickly after it was made, but by then it was too late.
THQ have since confirmed the patch saying :
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will have co-op. We are looking forward to announcing more details later this month!Warhammer 40k - Space Marine
is due to hit stores on September 6th in North America and September 9th in Europe.
