I feel the need to begin most of these non-game-related articles as "If you're like me...", because, call me biased, I only take the industry news article suggestions that I feel either interest me or most of the gaming community. Things like Microsoft's financial fluctuations, GameFly's service issues, and freakishly cool technology have been include in these "biased" articles because I simply find them interesting and feel that other games will as well.
So why am I bringing this stuff up? "Aero, shut up and get to the point!" is what I can feel you all saying. Well, I will.
Friday marked a great day for me, and I know I am a few days late on this one, but better late than never. What news do I have for all of you that requires this much build up, this much suspense, this much fatigue-fueled typing at 1:57 in the morning?
Electronic Gaming Monthly is being revived, by none other than the man who brought it up himself. The magazine could be brought back into printed syndication or it could simply resort to being a website with gaming news, like the zillions of others out there.
All I can say is that I was a loyal EGM fan for the longest time. I loved the issue, I subscribed to EGM faster than most other magazines after reading only one issue, and this news really drives a deep-seated passion in me that wants more EGM, right now.
You might not be familiar with the mag, but I would recommend for everyone to pick up a copy if it comes back into print. Sure, the writing might be different, and perhaps the magazine could suck now... but I have high hopes for EGM.
Anyone else here who used to be an EGM-loyalist?
