Kingdom Hearts 4 announced with new reveal trailer

By Sean Carey,
As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix officially announced Kingdom Hearts IV with a new reveal trailer.

Kingdom Hearts IV brings an "epic new storyline" to the franchise titled, "Lost Master Arc." In the trailer, which begins in the video above at the 4:07 mark after the announcement of a new Kingdom Hearts mobile game, we see the returning Sora in a brief gameplay segment battling it out against a huge demonic enemy on the streets of Quadratum, which Square Enix says is a "large, expansive city set in a gorgeous, realistic world unlike anything ever seen before in the Kingdom Hearts series." Donald and Goofy also appear to be making their return in the new game, with brief appearances towards the end of the trailer.

Unfortunately, no release window or launch platforms were confirmed either, and Square Enix says Kingdom Hearts IV is in "early development," so it's unlikely we'll see anything on this one for a while.

What do you make of the trailer? Are you excited for more Kingdom Hearts? Give us your thoughts down in those comments.
