IonBallEX (WP7) Isn’t Your Typical Brick-Breaker

By litepink, 7 years ago
Last week was looking like an exciting week for Windows Phone 7, as Sudoku and Minesweeper were released free of charge, both featuring 50 gamerscore each. Things quickly turned sour with the realization that these two games were for the US only, leaving everyone else with nothing that week. Add to that the sudden news of three WP7 games being delisted without warning, and WP7 has had a troubled few days. This week looks to get back on track with a full Xbox LIVE game available to all with IonBallEX.

The original Ion Ball is available as an indie game on both Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7. The sequel, IonBallEX, arrives on WP7 in just two days, complete with Xbox LIVE compatibility and achievements. As you can tell immediately the game looks quite different then your typical paddle game with its visually striking steampunk style. IonBallEX also sets itself apart with special bricks, unique enemies, boss battles, as well as earning XP to buy upgrades between levels. Check it out for yourself below with this gameplay trailer via WPCentral:

IonBallEX releases worldwide August 17th.
