Rocket League goes full Throttle with new car bundle

By Tom West,

Rocket League will be offering a bundle brimming with items inspired by EDM artist, Throttle, and their return to the Monstercat music label with a reimagining of the 2019 'Where U Are' EP.

Alongside the bundle that's now available in Rocket League until May 17th, Throttle has also released the 'For Me (VIP)' music video, which you can find below. The video perfectly complements Rocket League Season 6's anime theme and features the same vehicle that is included in the new Throttle-inspired bundle.

Monstercat and Throttle partner with Rocket League for 'Where U Are (Deluxe)

Throttle has been creating electronic music for the past ten years, performing at festivals like Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and Sziget, and has worked with many of the industry's top artists, such as Avicii, David Guetta, Sabrina Claudio, Martin Garrix, and more. His latest work, Where U Are (Deluxe) EP, is a reimagining of the 2019 album of the same name and acts as an introspective look at the pandemic. The track, For Me (VIP), accompanies a music video that aligns with the anime theme found in Rocket League's sixth season. It follows Throttle through a cityscape in his custom vehicle found in the item bundle, while he tracks down a mysterious figure that "metaphorically represents himself in his journey to self-discovery."

The Throttle item bundle will be available to purchase from the Rocket League in-game store until May 17th for 500 Credits. It contains a new vehicle that was designed by Throttle himself, a decal, a 'Full Throttle' Player Title, four new Player Anthems — including "fan-favourite" Cities — and more.
