Omega Five sees surprise return to Xbox Store

By Sean Carey,

Omega Five, one of the Xbox 360's best original arcade shooters that was delisted from the Xbox Store back in January 2019, has suddenly been relisted and is once again available to purchase.

According to the fine folk over at Delisted Games, the backwards compatible 360 game was relisted on May 5th, 2022, which also matches our Store data.

Unfortunately, we don't know why Omega Five was suddenly relisted. Konami, who acquired publisher Hudson Entertainment in 2012, hasn't given a reason for the relisting, nor has developer Natsume — we're not complaining, though!

In the shoot-em-up, which can be played either in single player or with a pal in multiplayer co-op, you will "unleash aggressive action" as a pirate, alien, or a samurai, against invading mechanical life forms. The game was released back in 2005 and saw somewhat decent reviews from critics. Over on Metacritic, Omega Five has Metascore of 72 from 33 reviews.

Let us know if you decided to pick up Omega Five! We can't say for certain how long this game will be available to buy, so it might be worth picking up just in case.
