Netflix drops Resident Evil teaser trailers [updated]

By Heidi Nicholas,

Two new teaser trailers for Netflix's Resident Evil show have arrived, giving us a brief look at New Raccoon City, and confirming the show's arrival for July.

Update: Netflix also dropped a second teaser trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil adaptation, all about an experimental type of pill called "Joy," which, although it apparently aims to target depression and OCD, also happens to contain the T-virus. So, you know. No way that could go wrong...
Original story: Netflix's Resident Evil show "brings its battle for survival" on July 14th. You can check out the teaser trailer below for a glimpse of New Raccoon City.

The trailer is only a little longer than a minute, but it introduces the characters of Billie and Jade and their father, and seems to imply that we'll see both New Raccoon City in 2022 and London in 2036. According to IGN, this will be a new story, although the events in New Raccoon City in 2022 take place roughly around the same time as the events of Resident Evil Village.

Netflix's Resident Evil show arrives on July 14th. What do you think of the teaser trailer? Let us know in the comments!
