Bodycount Demo Released Today

A demo for Codemasters' upcoming first person version of bullet hell, Bodycount has been released today. Unfortunately the demo is only available to Gold Xbox LIVE members, but to ease the pain for Free LIVE members, the developer has also released the third part of their 'Behind the Bullets' developer diary videos.

The first part gave players a guide to the game's weapons, and the second part brought players into a world of environmental destruction and chaotic firefights. Today, this preview of the demo will show players exactly what they can expect from the game.

The demo takes place in one of the early stages of Bodycount's Players "will assume the role of a Network Operative" and have to track down an African warlord who has holed himself up in a shanty town. Your target is responsible for the massacre of an army unit and must be held accountable. Not to worry though, your arsenal will include the G36 SMG, Super 90 Shotgun, grenades and proximity mines.

Art Director Max Cant had this to say:

Fans should expect a lot of mayhem, a lot of destruction, fun, fast paced arcade action. It's much more of an A-Team experience than some sort of dour, self-obsessed, self-important thing. If you want to have fun, play Bodycount.
Gold members can download the demo from here. Bodycount is due to be released on August 30th in North America, and September 2nd in Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.
