Chivalry 2 mounts up for Tenosian Invasion

By Tom West,

Chivalry 2 will be galloping onto the battlefield next month with the addition of mounted combat via the free Tenosian Invasion update for Xbox Series and Xbox One, along with new maps and more.

Torn Banner Studios promised that noble steeds would be coming, and on June 12th we will see that promise fulfilled. The new combat mechanic will ride into battle alongside a brand-new faction, four new maps, cosmetic items, a console server browser, and more. It's all part of the free Tenosian Invasion update for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Chivalry 2 mounted combat update

Will new Chivalry 2 achievements be coming with the Tenosian Invasion update? Nay, we think not, due to none of the other updates including any additional achievements... but we are getting horses, so that's got to count for something, right?

"The new, fully-featured mounted combat system makes players feel as if they are fighting atop a thousand-pound beast of war, including the ability to trample their foes, land devastating front or rear horse kicks, unhorse their opponents with a lance, and engage in deep melee combat with grounded or mounted combatants."

The steeds will join the fight alongside the Tenosian faction and four brand-new maps, specifically designed to take advantage of the new combat system: The Breach of Baudwyn, The Razing of Askandir, The Charge of Wardenglade, and Desert. You can also expect to see a host of cosmetic items added, such as new armoury items, weapons skins, and more.

Will you be strapping on the barding and riding into glorious battle next month? Let us know down below, warriors.
