Apex Legends briefly brings back Control mode

By Heidi Nicholas,

The Awakening Collection event is now live for Apex Legends, seeing the return of Control mode for a limited time, along with Lifeline's Town Takeover, new Legendary skins, and more.

Apex Legends players can now take part in the Awakening Collection event to earn new Legendary skins and event-limited items, while Control mode is back and Lifeline's busy with a Town Takeover.

Lifeline’s Clinic is "a new place to heal up and chill out," EA says. "This new state-of-the-art building is nestled between Gardens and Grow Towers, in the northeast corner of Olympus." A key part of the Clinic is the Med-bay, which can be used for continuous healing, while the Emergency Platform features a Care Package console — which can only be used once in each game.

Control mode is also back, "and this time, World’s Edge will be joining the rotation with Olympus and Storm Point." The Apex Legends team has implemented matchmaking improvements and also introduced Ad Drones. The Awakening Collection event also brings with it 24 themed cosmetics (collecting them all unlocks Valkyrie’s the “Suzaku” heirloom) and new Legendary skins.
