The Texas Chain Saw Massacre achievements ask you to play 1,973 matches [updated]

By Sean Carey,

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre isn't due to launch into Xbox Game Pass until sometime in 2023, but we have already picked up the game's achievement list, and it looks like it will be quite the grind.

Update:
As we suspected, it appears that this is not the final achievement list for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. In Twitter reply to Maka91, Gun CEO Wes Keltner pointed out that these achievements shouldn't be considered final.

Hopefully, this means the absolute grindfest that is the 'What will be left of you?' achievement will have its requirements changed to something a little more palatable. We'll update you if we see any changes to the list over time.

Original Story:
From what we can tell, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre achievements look unfinished, with several achievements showing incomplete descriptions (unless developer Gun Interactive is trying to keep a few things secret). However, there is one with a seemingly complete description that is truly, truly terrifying.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Achievements

The 'What will be left of you?' achievement asks you to play a whopping 1,973 public matches for just 10G. We don't know much about the game yet, but we're guessing that this one will take a long time to pop. Gun Interactive has two similar achievements in its previous game, Friday the 13th: The Game. In that one, you need to play 1,000 matches as Jason and another 1,000 as a counsellor.

The achievements with incomplete descriptions could also turn out to be a nightmare, depending on what Gun decides to eventually do with them. Perhaps the Serial Killer achievement will echo Friday the 13th's Gotta Kill Em All achievement and we'll have to grind out over 1,000 kills.

It's also worth noting that as this game is so far out from release, it's possible and likely that this achievement list will change.
