Metro: Last Light New Screenshots [UPDATED]

Edit: Since this article was published, more screenshots have been released and added below.

Original Story:

More screenshots from the Gamescom expo in Cologne today as THQ have released some new images from their forthcoming release, Metro: Last Light.

The game is a sequel to the 2010 hit, Metro 2033, which returns the player to the post-apocalyptic world of the Russian Metro.

The screenshots give an idea of the atmospheric environment and the creatures that inhabit it. It's clear that it's not a very welcoming world, and yet I can't help feeling drawn to it after seeing some of these images.
