Indie Games Summer Uprising Fan Titles Revealed

By Michelle Balsan, 7 years ago
Last month, we informed you that eight titles had been selected to appear in this Summer's Xbox LIVE Indie Games Summer Uprising promotion. Event organizers intended to include two more titles, however, and left voting for those titles up to the fans.

Today, they've announce the winners: Chester and Redd: The Lost Temple.

Chester is an old-school platformer presented in a hand-drawn style. However, if hand-drawn isn't your preferred look, the game will include a number of unlockable visual styles including 8-bit, LCD, Sketch, and Blueprint, among others. The game will feature 50 worlds across a variety of themes and will include 10 unlockable characters.

Redd: The Lost Temple

Redd: The Lost Temple is a top-down, action/adventure title. Starring an archeologist named Allie and explorer-for-hire, Redd, players are tasked with guiding Redd as he attempts to thwart the unknown entity which is putting the world in danger. Players must make their way through traps, time puzzles, and various enemies to "unlock the mystery of the Royal Amulet of Konira and defeat The Lost Temple".

In addition to the news of the two winners of the fan poll, the organizers of the Summer Uprising have also revealed the released schedule and pricing for the participating titles.
