GTA 6 reportedly set in Miami and will evolve over time

Schreier suggests that the playable female character will be one of a pair of protagonists for a story inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. The report also suggests that Rockstar had initially planned for GTA 6 to be "more vast than any Grand Theft Auto game to date," encompassing areas in both North and South America, before deciding to mainly base the game in a fictional Miami. The plan is apparently for Rockstar to update the game with new cities and missions in an effort to avoid crunch for the developers. Lastly, Schreier claims that "industry analysts anticipate" GTA 6 to come out in Take-Two's 2024 fiscal year, between April 2023 and March 2024, but that this confidence isn't felt by developers, who think the game is at "least two years away."
