Atlus has dropped a new trailer for Persona 5 Royal, as well as our first look at the Xbox Series X version of the game, which shows the fantastic JRPG running at 60fps for the first time ahead of its October Game Pass launch.

Persona 5 Royal will see Atlus' hit RPG series finally arrive on Xbox when it joins the best games in Xbox Game Pass on October 21st, and the publisher has released a new trailer alongside showing off Xbox Series X gameplay on a recent stream, some of which you can check out below.

The main takeaway here is the jump to 60fps for this new version of Persona 5 Royal — the original only hit 30fps and while that extra performance isn't entirely necessary in a game that is predominantly turn-based in its action, it's still great to see the slick anime-style action running so smoothly. We also already know that this new release will include all previously released DLC, so this is shaping up to be the definitive version of this incredible JRPG. Better set aside 120-odd hours now...
