Here it is, the massive list of all the upcoming Game Pass games for the last bit of 2023, and then beyond into 2024. It's a beast: we've included everything that has a specific Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass release or arrival date, those that have broader release windows, and those that haven't yet had any release window confirmed. Take a look through and see what's on the horizon for Xbox Game Pass over the next few years... we'll be keeping this article updated as more announcements are made and as games hit the service, so be sure to keep an eye on it!

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is as hectic as the name suggests — a "robot voxel slice-em-up" where you fight to triumph in the arena as a robot gladiator. You can choose between a story mode, challenge mode, and endless mode, as well as a number of multiplayer modes: Last Bot Standing, Private Duels, and online co-op. Clone Drone in the Danger Zone comes to Game Pass on December 5.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Also arriving for Game Pass on December 5 is Rise of the Tomb Raider, which sees Lara Croft setting out on her first Tomb Raiding journey in order to reach the Lost City before the mysterious Trinity.

While the Iron's Hot

Then we have the gorgeous adventure game While the Iron's Hot, which launches into Game Pass as a day-one addition on December 5. We'll be playing as a blacksmith looking to become a master of the trade in Elian, a land known for its skilled artists. We can use our skills to unlock new pathways, explore, and craft what's requested, but While the Iron's Hot also looks intriguing in that it separates each part of the blacksmithing process to make it even more detailed.

World War Z: Aftermath

December 5's additions don't stop there, as we'll also get third-person co-op shooter game World War Z: Aftermath. Tom has rated it as one of the best Xbox zombie games, so you're in for a win there if zombies are your thing!

Goat Simulator 3

Then it's time for utter chaos with Goat Simulator 3 on December 7. It's currently the only game coming to Game Pass on that date, which makes sense, because what else would you have time for?

Against the Storm

Dark fantasy city builder Against the Storm has proved hugely popular in its time in Early Access on Steam, and has now confirmed that its 1.0 release will take place on December 8, when it'll join PC Game Pass.

Tin Hearts

On December 12 we get story-rich puzzle adventure game Tin Hearts. Intriguingly, it's set in an alternate-timeline version of a Victorian world and spans both generations and dimensions. If you're interested in learning more while we wait, check out our Tin Hearts interview with developer Rogue Sun's managing director Kostas Zarifis.

Far Cry 6

On December 14 we get Far Cry 6. The game is officially done now as Ubisoft has confirmed we'll see no more updates for the game, so it does make sense it's joining now. Check out Tom's Far Cry 6 review to see why he loved it!

TBC 2023

Little Witch in the Woods

Little Witch in the Woods is already available in Game Preview with Xbox Game Pass, but if you’ve been holding off until the game launches in full, you’ll need to wait until some time in 2023. Little Witch in the Woods is a charming pixel adventure game where you train to become a fully-fledged witch, and consists of a mix of crafting, exploration, puzzle-solving, and life-sim elements — for more on that, check out our Little Witch in the Woods interview.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy

Ereban: Shadow Legacy was announced as launching into Xbox Game Pass in 2023, although it's been some time since we've heard anything from it. In this stealth platforming game, we’re Ayana, who, armed with mysterious shadow powers, is exploring a dying world to investigate the megacorporation Helios and the truth about her long-lost ancestors.

"Coming soon"

Flock is a colourful, laid-back multiplayer co-op game where you soar contentedly through the world and gather up creatures to add to your herd. It looks all kinds of beautiful, and the most recent Annapurna Interactive Showcase told us it's "coming soon" to Xbox Game Pass.

January 2024

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank

Turnip Boy looks set to continue his life of crime in Turnip Boy Robs a Bank. The sequel to Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is described as a "unique spin on the original" with some top-down shooter and roguelite elements too. Originally set for 2023, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank has been pushed back a little to January 18.

February 2024

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload, a remake of Persona 3, is set to come to Xbox Game Pass on February 2, 2024.

April 2024

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was set to launch into Xbox Game Pass in 2023, but has been delayed to 2024 and now has a release date of April 23. It’s a JRPG featuring a “traditional” six-character battle system with a mix of 2D sprites and 3D backgrounds. Companion title Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is already available with Xbox Game Pass, in case you fancy getting a taste of the world and characters early.

Manor Lords

Manor Lords, a medieval city builder, comes to PC Game Pass in Game Preview on April 26, 2024, and to Xbox Game Pass at a later, as-yet-unspecified date.

"Early 2024"

Still Wakes the Deep

Still Wakes the Deep was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase with an early 2024 release window. It's a first-person narrative horror game about a Glaswegian oil rig worker in the North Sea.

Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem

Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem is an upcoming action game where we play as Clementine McKinney as she fights her way across a post-post apocalyptic desert in a rather snazzy mech. It was delayed from 2023 into early 2024.

Galacticare, initially set to launch into Game Pass in 2023, has been pushed back to early 2024. It'll see you designing and running a hospital with all the chaos that brings: hiring staff, looking into experimental treatments, and taking care of bizarre patient needs ranging from postmodern art to claustrophobic spaces.

Harold Halibut

Harold Halibut comes to Xbox and Game Pass in early 2024 as a narrative game which the devs say is something of a "cross between game and stop motion film." Harold is a lab assistant on a massive spaceship which left Earth to find another planet habitable for humanity and ended up in an alien ocean. It seems Harold goes into another "new world" beyond this; a "retro-future world" where he continues his search for a home.

Lightyear Frontier

Lightyear Frontier was delayed from its spring 2023 release, and now soars onto Xbox Game Pass in Early Access in early 2024. When it does, we’ll be farming on an alien planet, with Lightyear Frontier mashing together base-building, crafting, discovering alien flora and fauna, and more.

Roguelite cooking game PlateUp! was initially intended to arrive for Xbox and Game Pass on November 2, but has since been pushed back to early 2024, when we'll be cooking up dishes and managing our restaurants.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl brings first-person shooter action to Xbox Game Pass at launch, when we’ll be exploring a post-nuclear open world. There's no specific release date yet, but we do know it's set to arrive in early 2024. Developer GSC Game World is based in Ukraine and recently shared an emotional video diary explaining its situation.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II

Announced back in 2019, action-adventure game Senua's Saga: Hellblade II now has a release window, and will come to Xbox Game Pass on day one in 2024.

Retro sci-fi 2D adventure Replaced has now been delayed into 2024. We’ll play as Reach, an AI trapped in a human body, and will explore and fight our way through Phoenix City. The pixel art here is some next-level stuff...

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a fantasy action-RPG set to launch into Xbox Game Pass in 2024, and seems to have us fighting both against the dead and the gods themselves.

Ara: History Untold

Ara: History Untold was announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase as a historical turn-based strategy game which will join PC Game Pass at launch. It's now narrowed down its release window slightly to 2024.

Pigeon Simulator

Pigeon Simulator asks you to "Become a pigeon. Poop on everyone. Destroy everything," when it comes to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass at some point in 2024. Not only are you a pigeon, you're apparently a time-traveling pigeon, who's been sent through time to thwart a goose. Chaos!

Ghost Bike

Ghost Bike was revealed during a recent Annapurna Interactive Showcase as an adventure game in which you play as "a streetwise kid from Freehub City on a mission to revive the last of the Ghost Bikes" — those who can traverse between the living world and the world of the dead. It's set to hit Game Pass in 2024.

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Dungeons of Hinterberg is an action-adventure RPG in which you do everything from fighting monsters to building relationships in the Alpine village known as Hinterberg. It's set to come to Xbox Game Pass in 2024.

Little Kitty, Big City

Little Kitty, Big City arrives for Game Pass in 2024. In theory, the little kitty in question is exploring the city to find their way back home; in reality, it looks like there'll be all sorts of distractions in the form of making friends, completing quests, and wearing hats.

Magical Delicacy

Magical Delicacy looks to be made up of a lot of different elements: it's a pixel platforming game inspired by Metroidvania aspects where you cook meals and brew potions while exploring the town and pursuing the path to becoming a proper witch. Magical Delicacy is set to launch into Game Pass in 2024.

First-person RPG Avowed was announced in 2020 and at last has a release window of 2024. Avowed is set in the fantasy world of Eora, and is set to join Xbox Game Pass at launch.

33 Immortals

Spiritfarer devs Thunder Lotus Games announced 33 Immortals as a "co-op action-roguelike for 33 players" where you're a "damned soul" going against "God's final judgement." It's been given an Early Access release window of 2024.

Dead Static Drive

Indie survival horror title Dead Static Drive — which has already spent almost a decade in development — joins Magical Delicay in this lonely "joining Game Pass in 2024" section of the list.

Towerborne was announced as a new action-adventure game from Stoic Studio, the creators of Banner Saga, with a 2024 release window.

Ark II

Survival game Ark II has seen a big delay — instead of launching in 2023 as originally planned, Ark II will now launch at the end of 2024, when it will star Vin Diesel as Santiago and Auli'i Cravalho as his daughter Meeka. Expect it to expand heavily on the scale and scope of its popular dino-packed predecessor.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong is the long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight, so it’s great to hear that it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch, even though we don’t have a specific release date yet. If you like Ori but wish the games were darker and more challenging, keep an eye on this (and go play the original in the meantime, it's ace).

South of Midnight

South of Midnight was announced during the Xbox Games Showcase as a third-person action-adventure game set in the American Deep South with a focus on magic realism. It doesn't yet have a release date or release window, but it'll launch straight into Xbox Game Pass.

Vapor World

Action-adventure platforming game Vapor World — which looks to have a similar feel to Lies of P — doesn't yet have a release date, but is set to come to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Here’s one we’ve been waiting for for a while: Fable was announced back in 2020 as a “new beginning for the legendary franchise” with “fantastical creatures and wondrous places,” and we haven’t really heard anything since. There’s no hint yet of a release window for Fable, but we do know it joins Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Clockwork Revolution

Clockwork Revolution was announced during the Xbox Games Showcase as a steampunk first-person RPG and a big project for developer inXile entertainment. The announce trailer has a Bioshock look about it, but we don't yet have a release date or window for this one.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess was announced as a day-one Xbox Game Pass addition, but we don't yet have a release date or window for this one. It features action and strategy elements and explores the spirit and mortal realms, with a focus on Japanese aesthetics.

Contraband was announced as a "co-op smuggler’s paradise set in the fictional world of 1970s Bayan" — we don't yet have a release date for this one, which seems a little way off yet, but we'll keep an eye out.

Neon White

Neon White is a "single-player speedrunning FPS" about the assassin from Hell, White, who's given a chance to live in Heaven. It's set to come to Xbox Game Pass at some point, but we don't have a date yet.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector

Citizen Sleeper's sequel, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, doesn't yet have a release date, but is set to come to Xbox Game Pass at launch, when it'll see you gathering a crew, manning a ship, and navigating the Starward Belt.

Everwild, revealed back in 2019, is another one that seems to have disappeared after its announcement, although a report suggested Everwild is targeting a 2024 release after being “restarted from scratch”. We’ve heard no official update on when Everwild might emerge, so here it goes, into the “unknown” section.

Another Crab's Treasure

Another Crab's Treasure is a Soulslike adventure game about a hermit crab called Kril, who has to pick up trash and use it as protection against giant enemies until he can get his shell back.

TO A T is a narrative adventure game which comes from Katamari Damacy game designer Keita Takahashi about a teenager (called Teen) with "an odd posture" as they go through life in their small town, attending school and dealing with bullies, until a new ability changes everything.

Bushiden is an action-adventure game with platforming elements — details are pretty scarce at the moment but it seems that in Bushiden we are dealing both with the disappearance of our sister and the fact that the evil Gaoh has returned with an "cybergentic army" which we'll need to defeat. It was confirmed back in 2021 that Bushiden would join Xbox Game Pass on day one, but we don't yet know a release date.

Marauders is described as a first-person multiplayer sci-fi dieselpunk looter shooter where we play as a space pirate — it was meant to launch into Game Preview for PC Game Pass in 2022, but we've not yet heard word of a new release date.

First-person sci-fi horror game Routine was announced back in 2012, and then seemed to vanish until it was re-revealed back in June of this year. It’s set to join Xbox Game Pass at launch, whenever that launch may be.

Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2 is available in Game Preview/Early Access with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass already, but if you're waiting to play until the achievements are added with the full release of the game, there's a bit longer to go — we don't yet have a concrete release date for when Slime Rancher 2 launches in full.

Age of Mythology Retold

In one of the best announcements of 2022, we found out that a Definitive Edition of 2002's much-loved Age of Mythology game was on the way — we don't yet have a release date, but it'll come to PC Game Pass!

So, what do you think? Anything on there catch your eye, or take you by surprise? What do you think of the gaming horizon for Xbox Game Pass? Let us know what you think in the comments!
