UK Deal Roundup for August 23rd, 2011

By Rebecca Smith, 5 years ago
This week sees a lot of reminders as sales enter their four week cycle and I catch up with a couple missed during my holiday. As for new sales, Amazon’s console bundles once again become the cheapest available, and TheHut.com dominates with a series of new individual sales. Shopto.net continues to disappoint this week with their Weekly Specials, but make up for it with their Xbox 360 offers.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Further details on the deals, including the best pick of the sale items, can be found in the ‘details here’ link, which will take you back to the relevant UK deal roundup that described the sale in more detail. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list.

To start off the new sales of the week, Amazon are currently the cheapest retailer for Xbox 360 Slim bundles with Kinect. The 4GB Slim with Kinect costs £187.20, whereas the 250GB Slim with Kinect costs £223.20. The 250GB Slim Xbox 360 can be bought on its own for £148, but the 4GB model is cheaper elsewhere. Once buyers have selected their package, they can also choose to add one of the following games for just £20:
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
Zumba Fitness
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2
Alice: Madness Returns
Crysis 2
Shadows of the Damned

The Star Buys at Shopto.net don’t include any Xbox 360 or PC games this week again, but the Weekly Specials see Final Fantasy XIII at £9.85.

Tesco is running a LEGO Price Crash sale where LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is £24.70 and https://www.trueachievements.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-III-xbo....htm is £18.

Tesco are also offering 1200MSP for half price when bought with a Call of Duty game, not including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Unfortunately, all of the Call of Duty games included in the offer are cheaper elsewhere, but for the price difference, you would still save a bit of money if buying https://www.trueachievements.com/Call-of-Duty-4-xbox-360.htm, https://www.trueachievements.com/Call-of-Duty-World-at-....htm or https://www.trueachievements.com/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops....htm with the points card.

The retailer has also started a new, smaller sale on DJ Hero titles. This sees the DJ Hero 2 Party Bundle at just £34.85. Those who don’t want two turntables can buy the Turntable Bundle for £29.85.
