SEGA announced today that their realism based fighting series, Virtua Fighter, is returning to consoles. Virtua Fighter 5 is being updated with a standalone XBLA game that ports over the arcade update of Virtua Fighter 5. Titled Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, we will be treated to a king's ransom of updates and additions for the home version:

Personally, any chance I get to use the greatest grappler in any fighting game, Wolf, is one that I am going to take.
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown is slated for a release in Summer 2012.
