Dead Space remake gameplay trailer shows off limb-lopping action

By Sean Carey,

EA and developer Motive have given us our first good look at some Dead Space remake gameplay ahead of the game's release on Xbox Series X|S next year.

The Dead Space remake launches for Xbox Series X|S on January 27th, 2023, and EA has now dropped the remake's first gameplay trailer.

Dead Space remake gameplay

Dead Space is being rebuilt from the ground up for current-gen consoles and PC in EA's Frostbite engine, and despite it being a remake, it's clear from the new gameplay trailer that EA Motive has stuck to the source material. The trailer gives us a good look at the remake's excellent visuals, atmospheric lighting, and some limb-lopping combat.

Pre-orders for Dead Space are also live on the Xbox Store, with two editions. The standard version costs $70/£70, while the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes five exclusive cosmetics, costs $79.99/£79.99, though if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/EA Play, you can save a bit of money on a pre-order.
