New Shoot Many Robots Trailer

By Rebecca Smith,
We announced the development of Demiurge's upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade action-RPG Shoot Many Robots back in February. Not much was known about the game, apart from that players would indeed have to shoot many robots. Now, publisher Ubisoft has finally made the move to explain what exactly players will be doing in this new offering.

Shoot Many Robots™ follows P. Walter Tugnut on his mission to kill as many robots as possible after a factory begins to ominously produce killer robots. With an RV full of guns and beer, gamers will experience a four-player co-op run-n-gun side-scrolling RPG shooter filled with tons of weapon and item customization. Shoot Many Robots™ will also feature two game modes: Traversal, where players must progress linearly through a level, and Survival, where players fight against waves of robot hordes, delivering hours of robotic carnage and fun.
As well as introducing players to Pickles Walter Tugnut (but don't call him that), the new trailer and screenshots will reveal some of the supporting cast too, including the family of crazed Choppers, the stubby-legged Tankbot, a tiny robot in a big robot suit named Small Fry, and Fatboy, who apparently has a high carbon footprint.

Those of you with good memories may be wondering about the results of the Design-a-Robot competition that we covered in April. Well, the new robot that will be joining the cast as a result of that competition is Trikey:

Unfortunately, Shoot Many Robots was due to be released this year, but has now been delayed. The game is now due to be released some time in 2012.

We've got the full list of Shoot Many Robots achievements - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
