Two Demos Announced for PES 2012 [UPDATED]

By Ashley Woodcock,
Update:

The eager and sharp eyes of Oldest Ancient have spotted that the first demo which was originally supposed to be available today for the upcoming PES 2012, has been delayed "due to unforeseen issues". Although Konami has announced the delay of the first demo, the new release date is scheduled for September. However, the second demo is also currently scheduled for a mid-September release.

Original story:

Konami have revealed that two demos are set for release for their upcoming FIFA rivaling soccer title PES 2012.

The first upcoming demo will be based on a preview build of the game and will focus mainly on the new Teammate Control elements. Konami wants players to "experience the realism that Active AI brings to PES 2012", in which this element of the title has recieved much praise from the media. Six teams will be available for the demo and players will be able to choose from Manchester United, AC Milan, FC Porto, S.S.C Napoli, Santos FC, and C.A. Panarol. With each team showcasing their individuality, players will be able to compete against other teams in ten-minute matches. Also included within the first demo will be key Challenge Training elements, where players can get to grips with the new control systems and become more familiar and comfortable with the game.

The first demo will not be as fine-tuned as the second demo will be by the time it releases come mid-September. The second demo will feature a different lineup of teams, these being Tottenham Hotspur, FC Bayern Munich, FC Internazionale Milano, Rangers FC, Club America and Sport Club Internacional. Players will again compete in ten-minute matches in what will be a more polished demo, giving gamers a better feel on how the full version will be once it is released.

European PES Team Leader, Jon Murphy, explains why he wants users to try out the demos:

We have spoken a lot about the new additions to PES 2012, and now we want users to see it for themselves. By releasing a demo for preview purposes, we want people to get in early to try out the Teammate Control elements and to see for themselves how the Active AI works. This will then be followed by a second demo that offers different teams, and a closer approximation of what the final game will play like. We truly value the support and input of our user base – and these demos are so they can see how their help has aided the most ambitious PES to date
More info on the anticipated Teammate Control features can be found here.

The first demo for the upcoming title is due to be available to download today, but it is still yet to hit the Marketplace. The second demo remains without an exact date, but is currently scheduled for a mid-September release.

PES 2012 is all set for release on October 14th, 2011.
