Codemasters has released a new trailer for their forthcoming racing simulation title, F1 2011.
The latest footage showcases some of the best highlights from this year's F1 World Championship, recreated with remarkable accuracy. Vitaly Petrov's mid-air moment in Malaysia and Jenson Button's impressive win in Canada are just two of the many memorable incidents on display. The much-anticipated Safety Car gets its first outing in gameplay footage, controlling several wet races.
In addition to the new trailer, Codemasters has unveiled further details regarding the co-op and multi-player modes which are set to be available in the latest iteration:
...Players will be able to race against 16 players online plus 8 AI cars to simulate a full 24 car grid, team up with a friend to play through a full season in a new co-op Championship mode or enjoy multiplayer racing from the sofa in split-screen mode...F1 2011 was announced earlier this year. In the months that have followed, the publisher/developer has released the first gameplay trailer, a developer diary and a handful of screenshots.
F1 2011 is the follow-up to critically-acclaimed racing gem F1 2010, and is scheduled for release on September 20th, 2011 in North America. The title will arrive shortly afterwards in Australia and Europe on September 22nd and 23rd respectively.
