The Extra Life 2022 hub is now live, and we've explained how you can support our players and streamers, or even get involved yourself. What is Extra Life?Extra Life gives gamers the opportunity to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organisation that raises funds for sick and injured children throughout the US and Canada. The organisation's donations are distributed to 170 hospitals throughout the two countries and are used for medical research and financially supporting sick and injured children and their families who are staying at one of their hospitals. These hospitals provide 32 million treatments each year to children. To help support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, each year, gamers from across the world raise money for the charity by taking part in a 24-hour gaming marathon and streaming their efforts. This year, game day is set for November 5th. While a 24-hour gaming marathon does sound pretty intense, don't worry; participants can choose their own start time, how long they want to play for, and what they want to play. Extra Life has raised over $100 million since its inception in 2008. During Extra Life 2021, the TrueAchievements team was able to raise $14,154 — once the team surpasses $10,328 this year, it will have raised $50,000 since 2019!For more information, be sure to check out the Extra Life project and Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals.
