Microsoft Flight Simulator adds helicopters and more with free update

Microsoft Flight Simulator's free 40th anniversary update, which adds helicopters, gliders, and more to the game, is now available to download.

The free update, which is included with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, brings numerous new aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator, along with new airports, and new missions.

As per Xbox Wire, Microsoft Flight Simulator has been updated to Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition. This new edition, which is free to all owners of the game and those playing through Game Pass, includes a total of 12 new aircraft, four new airports, heliports, glider airports, and 24 new missions.

Microsoft Flight Simulator doesn't feature in our list of the best Game Pass games, though many would argue that it probably should be there purely on its technological merits alone.
