Microsoft issuing refunds after Forza Horizon 4 & 5 bundle price error

By Luke Albigés,

The Forza Horizon 4 and 5 Premium Editions Bundle was spotted for mere pennies on the Swedish Xbox Store last week, but Microsoft is now issuing refunds and revoking access for players who took advantage of the error.

Two excellent Forza Horizon games and all of their DLC for less than a dollar was always going to be a deal that was too good to be true, and as expected, Microsoft will not be honouring purchases made via the recent pricing error on the Swedish store — as spotted on various forums (including our own), Microsoft is issuing refunds and removing access from players who managed to pick up this ludicrous bargain.

The Forza Horizon 4 and 5 Premium Editions Bundle has an RRP of just under $200, meaning this pricing error would have granted access to both games and all their DLC at a ridiculous 99.65% off — not the kind of discount you see every day. While pricing errors like these are sometime honoured and players may have hoped that would be the case here, it sadly is not. Microsoft is issuing refunds, as it clearly wasn't happy with people pouncing on this mistake to get this stacked bundle for pennies.

Get the Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition and Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition in one bundle. Features four epic expansions, including Fortune Island, LEGO® Speed Champions, Hot Wheels, and the second Forza Horizon 5 expansion once its released.

The bundle is, however, currently part of the Xbox Black Friday sale, and even though it might not be quite as good a discount as 99.65% off, 60% off is still a darn fine deal considering how much you get for your money, and it has never been cheaper... well, not officially, at least. Both games feature in our rundown of the best arcade racing games on Xbox, so give that a look if you're after something similar — just don't be surprised if you struggle to find any of them for less than a buck.

Any of you get the refund? Should Microsoft have honoured its error and let people keep the games? Let us know what you think below!
