Four games already confirmed for Game Pass next month

By Heidi Nicholas,

December is — somehow — already almost upon us, meaning another month of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass additions are on the way. Here's everything we know is coming to Game Pass in December 2022 so far.

Microsoft hasn't yet made its first announcement of what's to come next month, but thanks to the sacred text — I mean, our big list of all the games coming to Game Pass in 2022 and beyond, where we scoured all previous announcements, we already know four titles heading straight to Game Pass in December 2022. Check them out below.

Hello Neighbor 2 — December 6th (console/PC)

Hello Neighbor 2 — which interestingly describes itself as "family-friendly stealth horror" — has us playing as reporter Quentin, who heads to the town of Raven Brooks to dig into a number of missing persons reports. In this sequel, we're investigating that whole town instead of just one neighbor's house, although it looks like Mr. Peterson is once again involved in whatever mysterious business is going on...

Chained Echoes — December 8th (console/PC)

In fantasy JRPG Chained Echoes, a war has long been raging between the three kingdoms of the continent of Valandis, leading our group of heroes to set out on a quest to bring peace. According to the Chained Echoes Steam page, the game will offer around 30 to 40 hours of playtime, during which we'll take part in turn-based battles, loot and craft items, customise our airship, and travel the land (either on foot or in a mech).

Infinite Guitars — December 13th (console)

Rhythm RPG Infinite Guitars sees a world wrecked by humanity's war with the Mechs — as they return, we'll use our electric guitar against them in fights and boss battles which mash together turn-based RPG, action, and rhythm aspects.

High On Life — December 13th (console/PC)

High On Life is a comedy adventure game and first-person shooter, and arguably December's most anticipated release. As you might expect from Squanch Games, High On Life looks entirely made up of random chaos: we start out as a teenager with no job or plan in mind, until we suddenly take on the role of a bounty hunter after an alien cartel invades Earth to make a drug out of humanity. Armed with talking guns, we set out to explore, earn new weapons and skills, and fight our way through this bizarre battle. If you're interested in reading more, check out our full High On Life interview!

We should hear more about the rest of December's Xbox Game Pass additions soon — plus, we still have that entire Q4 2022 section on our big round-up of games coming to Game Pass in 2022 and beyond; there's not much 2022 left, so we'll keep an eye out for when those will be added!

Which of December's additions are you most interested in so far? Let us know in the comments!
