By Tom West,

Far Cry 6's upcoming DLC, Lost Between Worlds, will be launching next week, on December 6th. Check out the new achievements and the expansion's reveal trailer here. [updated]

Update: Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 6's new Lost Between Worlds expansion will launch on December 6th. It will be available as part of either the Game of the Year Edition or with the Upgrade Pass, and will be available to buy separately for $19.99/£17.99/€19.99.

In Lost Between Worlds, we're told that "players will begin a thrilling new chapter of Dani Rojas’ story, set in a fractured version of Yara. Following their exploration of a mysterious meteorite impact site, Dani will discover themselves in a twisted space between worlds accompanied by a noncorporeal lifeform named Fai. Players will need to repair Fai’s broken spacecraft by collecting five lost shards, each increasing Dani’s overall stats for survivability, bringing them one step closer to escape."

Ubisoft also confirmed Far Cry 6 will be getting a free trial with progress carrying over to the full game if you decide you like it enough to pick it up later, and you can check out Lost Between Worlds' new trailer below ahead of next week's launch.

Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds announcement trailer

Original story: Ubisoft has uploaded a teaser trailer for the Lost Between Worlds DLC, the fourth content expansion for Far Cry 6, which reveals that the new content will be showcased via a trailer on November 29th. We picked up the achievement list for the DLC earlier this month if you'd like a little glimpse at what we might be getting up to.

"Something big is coming to Yara." Dani's next adventure will be revealed tomorrow, November 29th, on the Ubisoft YouTube and Twitch channels at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm BST/7pm CET. Previous expansions have allowed us to explore the minds of three former series antagonists in roguelite-inspired game modes, so whether we'll be playing in much the same way or not will be interesting to find out.

If you're in the mood for some other Far Cry adventures while you wait for the DLC to launch, Far Cry 5 is available via Xbox Game Pass. If you'd like to see what else is coming to the service, we have an ever-growing list of confirmed games coming to Game Pass in the future.
