Sonic Frontiers speeds to 60fps with Xbox Series S performance mode

By Tom West,

Sega has released a patch for Sonic Frontiers that fixes a couple of issues, including adding the missing performance mode on Xbox Series S, which should now allow the game to run at 60fps.

Sonic Frontiers players on Xbox Series S were confronted by a missing performance mode when the game launched earlier this month, which caused the game to only run at 30fps. The issue has now been resolved in the latest patch with the addition of a 60fps performance mode.

Sonic Frontiers now runs at 60fps on Xbox Series S

The official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account has revealed that a patch has now been rolled out to all Sonic Frontiers players. The patch aims to stop the Kronos Island Titan boss from disappearing when you reattempt the fight, and the Chaos Island map icons should no longer remain locked after you complete them. On top of those two, Xbox Series S players can finally enjoy the game in silky smooth 60fps, thanks to the inclusion of a performance mode. Have you finished Sonic's latest adventure?
