Inkulinati devs share exclusive screens and call Game Pass "a dream"

Inkulinati, a strategy game all about the madness of medieval marginalia, launches into Xbox Game Pass later this month — check out some exclusive new screenshots here, courtesy of Yaza Games!

Inkulinati launches into Xbox Game Preview for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass on January 31st as a turn-based strategy game with a wacky sense of humour. We reached out to Yaza Games who kindly shared all the Inkulinati info we could hope for, along with some exclusive screenshots — check them out below....

"That is a huge opportunity for a studio like us as it will give Inkulinati a huge boost of visibility and player base from the first moment the game comes out," says Yaza Games producer Ryszard Kieltyka about Inkulinati coming to Game Pass on day one. "For a smaller team like ours, it’s a dream. It means that there will be a lot more people that get to hear about our game and give it a try. And hopefully if they like it, they can tell their friends and a little snowball effect can take place. That’s something you can’t put a price on."

In our earlier Inkulinati interview, we learnt a little more about our goal in the game — we're aiming to become an Inkulinati Master, using the Living Ink to draw creatures which come to life on the pages of medieval manuscripts. Those creatures are inspired by medieval marginalia: the strange creatures you can find throughout real-life medieval manuscripts, such as dogs armed with bows and arrows waging war against rabbits. Inkulinati's sense of humour already leaps across in these new screenshots.

We chatted to Yaza Games' Kieltyka more about the impact of Game Pass and how Inkulinati came to be a day-one addition — if you're interested in reading more, keep an eye out for that interview soon!
