Descenders publisher aims to get all future releases onto Game Pass

Mike Rose, the founder of publisher No More Robots, has once again thrown his weight behind Game Pass, saying that the publisher is aiming to get all its future releases onto the service.

Microsoft recently admitted that Game Pass cannibalises sales, and since then, there has been a lot of chatter surrounding the service and its viability. However, the founder of No More Robots, which published games such as Descenders and Let's Build a Zoo, has a lot of confidence in the service and revealed that No More Robots is aiming to get all future releases onto Game Pass to relieve pressure on developers and secure success for each title.

"Every time Game Pass is in the news, my 'Descenders' search fills with mentions as people on both sides try to explain why Descenders is proof of their own claim about Game Pass, and every single time, oh boy, do I learn that gamers do not understand how video games work at all," Rose said on Twitter.

"All I can say is, we're aiming to get every single title we publish from now on onto Game Pass. In doing so, we'll secure success for each title and relieve immense pressure for the devs."

In an interview with TrueAchievements last year, Rose had a lot of love for Game Pass, saying the service can "derisk whole projects for a bunch of devs and publishers." Back in 2020, Rose revealed that Game Pass had elevated Decensders " to heights we couldn't have imagined", and that total Xbox sales had tripled since the game joined Game Pass.

No More Robots has published numerous games into Game Pass over the years, including Descenders, Let's Build a Zoo, Soccer Story, Hypnospace Outlaw, Nowhere Prophet, and Yes, Your Grace.
